The Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Logistics Park (MCKILP) is set to transform the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) into a premier industrial hub in the East Coast Economic Region. The integrated mixed development and logistics hub is targeted to attract foreign direct investment of up to US$4 billion (RM17.61 billion) and create 20,000 jobs.

In July 2022, IJM Corporation Bhd sealed a strategic partnership with China Harbour Engineering Company to develop MCKILP in MCKIP 3, an integrated mixed development and logistics hub on a 640 acres site in MCKIP.

The commemoration ceremony took place in both MCKIP and nearby Kuantan Port, and included several events such as the launching of the Kuantan New International Land-Sea Trade Channel. By 2027, MCKIP and Kuantan Port will be integrated with the East Coast Rail Link, a land-bridge which will connect the east coast to the west coast of Malaysia.
